Yobe police confirmed the attacks launched in two mosques of Potiskum yesterday evening.
Speaking with NAN on the bombings, the state police spokesperson Nansak Chewang said:

Malaysian airliner downed in Ukraine war zone, 298 dead

A Malaysian Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur has crashed in eastern Ukraine. There were 280 passengers and 15 crew members on board.
Ukrainian Interior Minister said all on board are dead and that the plane was shot down by Russian ground-to-air anti-aircraft missiles at 32,000 feet and at 500mph.

A Malaysian Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur has crashed in eastern Ukraine. There were 280 passengers and 15 crew members on board.

The plane, a Boeing 777, came down near the
city of Donetsk, which is a border between Russia and Ukraine where a Ukrainian transport plane was shot
down at 21,000 feet on Monday July 13th and a military jet shot down last week from the Russian side of the border.

Germany dashed Argentina’s hopes of
winning the World Cup for a third time after they beat the South
Americans 1-0 in the final of Brazil 2014 at the iconic Maracana Stadium
on Sunday.
Both countries had earlier met in the
World Cup final — Mexico 1986, Italia ’90 — with the Diego Maradona-led
Argentina beating the Germans 3-2 in Mexico while Germany won in 1-0 in
Italy — with Maradona on the losing side.
An extra time goal scored by Mario Goetze
was all the Germans needed to win their fourth World Cup title at the
expense of Argentina.

end, latest reports indicate that Brazil’s coach, Luiz Felipe Scolari,
has lost his job.
According to local reports in South America, the former Portugal manager was sacked after the hosts ended their World Cup campaign with two embarrassing defeats against Germany and Holland.
Scolari had said he would let the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) decide his fate after the host were beaten 7-1 by eventual tournament winners Germany in the semi-final and 3-0 by Holland in the third-place playoff.
