9ice, who is from Ogbomoso, Oyo state, visited his constituency today September 10th for awareness campaign and to identify with the electorate. He addressed a large crowd that gathered at the Town hall in Oja Igbo, and promised that if elected to represent Ogbomoso Federal constituency 1, he will use this salary to do developmental projects in the constituency.
9ice declared his intentions to go into politics many weeks ago. He plans to contest for House of Reps in 2015.

22 Senators Set to Leave PDP for APC 











At least 22 Senators elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are set to defect to the All Progressive Congress (APC). The intention comes despite a trouble-shooting visit to the Senate by the embattled National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, on December 4, 2013, Wednesday.
According to The Nation, who interviewed a Senator familiar with the development on December 6, 2013, Friday, it’s “just a matter of time” before the group switches to the APC.

The seven aggrieved governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have announced their decision to merge with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the afternoon of November 26, 2013, Tuesday.
The meeting commenced at 9.30 a.m. at Kano Governor’s Lodge. It was the continuation of the meeting which ended last midnight, at about 12.30 a.m.
The governors declared their decision was aimed at rescuing the country.
Alhaji Abubakar Baraje, the former Acting National Chairman of the PDP, announced the decision after the meeting, at about 11.46 a.m., Tuesday.

APC Calls Boko Haram to Embrace Ceasefire 











The All Progressives Congress (APC) urged Boko Haram to immediately cease all attacks and embrace dialogue in the interest of national peace and security, following what is undoubtedly a resurgence of deadly attacks believed to be perpetrated by the sect.
The appropriate statement was issued by the APC Interim National Publicity, Alhaji Lai Mohammed in Warri on September 30, 2013, Monday.
The APC strongly condemned the latest of such attacks that left many students of the College of Agriculture in Yobe dead and injured on Sunday, calling the killings dastardly, senseless and indefensible.
The statement called on traditional, religious, political and opinion leaders in the affected areas to intervene urgently to end the cycle of violence being perpetrated by the sect.

Former Lagos State Governor and All Progressive Congress Leader, Bola Tinubu weeks after his knee surgery is said to be getting back his fitness, according to his media office.

The office had on August 6 in a statement explained why the co-founder of the All Progressives Congress had been away from the public domain lately.
“Based on previous sports injury on one of his knees and recent further aggravation on the knee from rigorous political and family related activities, he has been advised by his Doctors, despite his persistent reluctance, that orthopaedic surgery is necessary at this time” the statement said.
 “The week of the 5th of August has been slated for the surgery and Tinubu is expected to resume his normal political activities and public engagements following clearance from his Doctors.
His media handlers uploaded a video clip to prove the statement.

• Association threatens legal action against commission
CONTROVERSY over the useof the acronym, ‘APC’, by rival political organisations took a new dimension on Monday.
In a dramatic turn of events, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) refused the African Peoples Congress registration as a political party.
The notice of refusal was contained in a letter dated March 21, 2013 and addressed to the Acting National Chairman of the association, Chief Onyinye Ikeagwuonu.
It was upon this disclosure that for the second time in five days, the African Peoples Congress addressed a press conference to alert the public to INEC’s alleged plans to deny it registration as a political party.
