Big Brother The Chase housemates Dilish, Maria, and Nigeria’s Melvin and Uti Nwachukwu winner of the All Stars season, arrived Accra, Ghana last night for their fellow housemate Selly's 27th birthday celebration.
They were met at the Kotoka International Airport by their Chasemates Elikem, Pokello and Selly.
Selly's party is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Friday September 27 at the Exel Night Club with Uti Nwachukwu as the MC and is dubbed 'Selly’s Birthday Bash and Hosting of Big Brother Housemates'.

Chidi Mokeme to host Gulder Ultimate Search season 10

Chidi Mokeme has been picked as the host of the 2013 Gulder Ultimate Search.
The Nollywood star was recently announced as the host of the Season 10 of the TV reality show over the weekend at the selection party of the 10 finalists at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island Lagos.
Mokeme was host of the first two editions of the show in 2004 and 2005 before passing the baton to colleague and friend, Bob Manuel Udokwu. He later returned last year, 2012 as host.

Over a year after winning the second season of Nigerian Idol, singer Mecry Chinwo is yet to be given her N7.5m recording contract.
‘As I speak to you, I’m one-man standing. I am not in any record label, I am alone. I have to say the truth. I am not or was never tied to nay record label‘, the Port Harcourt-born singer told Encomium Weekly last week. She however confirmed receiving the N7.5m cash prize.
Franchise owners of Nigerian Idol, Optima Media Group (OMG) had announced that the winner of the talent show would go home with the overall prize of a recording contract, an SUV and a mouth-watering cash of prize of $100,000 (N7.5m). The show was sponsored by Etisalat and Pepsi.

12 Kirikiri Prisoners Narrowly Missed Freedom

convicted persons serving jail terms for offences categorized as
“special and simple offences” narrowly missed being released by the
Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Ayotunde Phillips.
The convicted persons are serving jail terms of about 390 days for violating the state environmental sanitation laws. A director of an NGO, Prisoners’ Rights Advocacy Initiative(PRAI), Mr. Ahmed Adetola-Kazeem, said the convicted persons, some of whom are under aged, were sentenced by a Special Offences Court in Alausa, Ikeja, sometimes between July and September for violating the state environmental laws.

An Archdiocese of Melbourne spokesman revealed that the Pope had ordered the removal of Father Greg Reynolds Father Greg Reynolds who was also dismissed from the clerical state
Australian newspaper, The Age reported that Archbishop Denis Hart of Melbourne said the excommunication was due to the priest’s public celebration of Mass without faculties to do so, and his preaching contrary to the teachings of the Church.
The letter announcing the penalty, written in Latin, was dated May 31, 2013.

The leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, NDPVF,
Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, has demanded the immediate arrest and prosecution
of former President Olusegun Obasanjo and his former deputy, Atiku
Abubakar, for his alleged role in the raging crisis within the Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP.
He also asked President Goodluck Jonathan to deal decisively with the members of the “New PDP” led by Kawu Baraje, especially the seven governors in its fold, by arresting their associates.
Mr. Asari-Dokubo, who stated this in an interview with PREMIUM TIMES on Tuesday in Abuja, however, refused to speak about former military president, Ibrahim Babangida, who he said had not taken sides with either the breakaway group or the mainstream PDP led by Bamanga Tukur.
Atiku and the PDP governors of Jigawa, Kano, Sokoto, Kwara, Rivers, Adamawa and Niger States belong to the Baraje faction of the party. They announced the birth of the faction last August 31.
Mr Obasanjo headed the PDP elders team that mediated unsuccessfully in the crisis, though some of the governors are believed to be his political associates.
