A 46-year-old Pastor, Olamide Sobowale, of Glory Church of
Christ Aladura, Oke-Itoku, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has been ordered to be
remanded in prison for allegedly defiling a woman while bathing in his
church backyard.
Pastor Sobowale, who was arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting
in Isabo, Abeokuta, yesterday, was accused of defiling one Dupe
Makinde, 30, who lives in Isaje, Abeokuta, while taking a spiritual
bath allegedly recommended by the pastor.
The prosecuting counsel, Paul Etusi, told the court that the accused
grabbed the complainant while she was in a bathroom within the church
premises and defiled her.

Obama Believes Congress Will Back Syria Strik

President Barack Obama said he believes that Congress ultimately will support punishing the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for allegedly using chemical weapons against civilians, in comments he made at the start of a meeting with lawmakers to discuss military action against the country.
Mr. Obama also outlined why he believes it is in America's national security interest to attack Syria. He said military strikes would "degrade" the Assad regime's ability to use chemical weapons and would send a clear message to other countries that are seeking to build weapons of mass destruction.
"I want to emphasize once again:

One of the most enticing
"what-ifs" of recent years has come true: Microsoft has purchased
Nokia's devices and services unit, bringing the Lumia lineup under the
Redmond roof. The move unites Windows Phone 8 with its biggest hardware
supporter, giving the company the integrated mobile offering it's been
looking for with Surface and other devices. When the deal closes in the
first quarter of 2014, Microsoft will pay €3.79 billion for Nokia's business, plus another €1.65 billion for its portfolio of patents. (The €5.44-billion total is considerably less than Microsoft paid for Skype
in 2011.) 32,000 people are expected to transfer from Nokia to
Microsoft, including 18,300 that are "directly involved in
manufacturing."
