A four-year-old British boy caught up in the Kenya mall massacre showed astonishing bravery by confronting a marauding gunman who ended up begging for his forgiveness.

Elliot Prior, from Windsor, Berkshire, told one of the terrorists that he was a 'very bad man' as he protected his mother, Amber, who had been shot in the leg, and six-year-old sister Amelie.

 

Incredibly, the attacker took pity on the family and bizarrely handed the children Mars bars before telling them 'Please forgive me, we are not monsters.'

The terror attack on a Kenyan shopping centre that has left 68 dead was being led by the white English widow of a 7/7 bomber, it was claimed last night.According to a report by Dailymail,

Soldiers said a white woman wearing a veil was shouting orders to gunmen in Arabic during the bloody massacre inside the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi.

Islamist terror group Al Shabaab claimed it carried out the atrocity It said last night on Twitter that Samantha Lewthwaite, the ‘white widow’ of London 7/7 bomber Jermaine Lindsay, was ‘in their ranks’ and a ‘brave lady’.

Egypt Bans Brotherhood Activities

A court in Egypt has banned "all activities" by the Muslim Brotherhood.
The Cairo administrative court had been asked to review the Islamist movement's application for non-governmental organisation status in March, reports the BBC.
The military authorities have launched a crackdown on the group since ousting President Mohammed Morsi on 3 July.

Gunmen attack & kill over 10 in uncompleted building in Apo, Abuja

Unknown gunmen dressed in military fatigue stormed an uncompleted building behind Legislator’s Quarters in Apo, Abuja in the early hours of this morning Friday September 20th killing over 10 people.

The people killed were inhabitants of the uncompleted building, mostly abokis who polish shoes and sell water.

According to eyewitnesses, the owner of the uncompleted building had warned people who pass the night in the building to desist from it, but they refused. Then the massacre this morning happened.

A survivor said they pay someone N200 every night to sleep in the uncompleted building and had been harassed and warned severally by military men to stop coming there...but they couldn't because they had nowhere else to go.

A resident in the area said that at about 12:30am he heard gunshot severally throughout the night, causing panic in the area. The number of people who died may be more than 10.

Nigerian army kills 150 insurgents - report

Nigeria's military said on Wednesday it had killed 150 insurgents, including a commander named Abba Goroma, in an operation against Islamist group Boko Haram in which 16 of its own forces were also killed.

Violence in northeast Nigeria has intensified over the past two months, as the Islamists fight back against a military operation that president Goodluck Jonathan ordered in May to try to crush their four-year rebellion.

President Barack Obama said he believes that Congress ultimately will support punishing the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for allegedly using chemical weapons against civilians, in comments he made at the start of a meeting with lawmakers to discuss military action against the country.
Mr. Obama also outlined why he believes it is in America's national security interest to attack Syria. He said military strikes would "degrade" the Assad regime's ability to use chemical weapons and would send a clear message to other countries that are seeking to build weapons of mass destruction.

 Bomb blasts that ripped through a mainly Christian area of the largest city in northern Nigeria have killed 12 people, the military said Tuesday, shattered a recent lull in insurgent attacks there.
At least four explosions were heard Monday night around outdoor bars in the Sabon Gari area of Kano, causing panic and sending clouds of smoke and dust into the air, residents said.
One resident said a small church in the area may have also been among the targets.
The military blamed the attack on suspected members of Islamist extremist group Boko Haram and said packages that caused the explosions were left in the area.

Two pressure cooker bombs exploded at the 2013 Boston Marathon on the afternoon of April 15, 2013, injuring spectators, runners, and others near the finish line. The improvised explosive devices exploded about 12 seconds apart at 2:50 p.m. EDT (18:50 UTC) along Boylston Street, west of Copley Square. The blasts killed 3 people and injured at least 183 others.
No suspects have been named, and there have been no arrests or claims of responsibility for the attack. President Barack Obama announced that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was investigating the bombings as an act of terrorism.
