This one happened in Onitsha Area Command, in Anambra State. Officers: Stephen Iduh, Anselem Ukachukwu, J. O Daudu of the Servicom Unit. as at Friday 20th Sept. 2013.

The police tried to extort these people of N10,000 after taking them to the station (and parking them outside, not inside the station. Watch the video Below.....

Former EFCC chairman Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has responded to former Inspector General of Police Mike Okiro who said yesterday that Ribadu lied when he claimed that he (Okiro) was behind two assassination attempt on his life and not Ibori. Okiro said in a statement released yesterday that Ribadu is an inveterate liar and desperately wanted to be IG. Ribadu has responded to Okiro, calling him corrupt and a shameless liar. Police Rescue Eight-month-old Baby Sold By Grandmother

(Punch Metro) – Men of the Plateau State Police Command have rescued an eight-month old baby girl, who was allegedly sold by her grandmother in Jos, Plateau State.
Our correspondent learnt that the baby was sold in Jos few weeks ago, but was rescued in Onitsha, Anambra on Wednesday.She was rescued by men of the ‘A’ Division of the state police after a complaint by the mother and a tip-off by some members of the public.

Permit for tinted glasses is free –IG

THE Inspector General of Police (IG), Mr Mohammed Abubakar, has said that obtaining police permit for the use of vehicles with tinted glasses “is free of charge”.
Abubakar made the clarification on Friday while speaking at a meeting with Assistant Inspectors-General of Police in charge of the 12 zonal commands in the country.
He said that the meeting was to review security challenges, including terrorism, kidnapping, cultism and communal clashes in parts of the country in order to strategise on how to address the challenges.
The IG said: “obtaining tinted glass permit is free of charge, there is no amount of money written there for anybody to pay.

Nigeria’s missing policemen found dead

Security agents on Tuesday found 11 bodies of policemen declared missing at the weekend in Nigeria's southern Bayelsa state, police and army spokespersons said.

One officer remains unaccounted for.

State police spokesperson Alex Akhigbe told reporters that the bodies were taken to a morgue in the state capital Yenagoa.

Witnesses said some of the bodies recovered along the creeks and waterways of the oil-rich state were burnt beyond recognition, mutilated and stripped of their uniforms and rifles.

The Friday attack by speedboat came two days after the main militant group in the Niger Delta region, MEND, allegedly threatened to resume attacks over the conviction of presumed leader Henry Okah in South Africa.
