126 other contestants to win Miss
World 2013. Miss France Marine
Lorphelin was named runner-up,
while Miss Ghana Carranzar Naa
Okailey Shooter (pictured right)
came third.

The Miss World 2013 finale is getting closer and closer, and we shall know the winner on September 28, 2013, Saturday.

The event has been moved from Jakarta to Bali, after extremist groups threatened to attack the event. However, signs of nervousness or possible cancelling the show are present.

The beauty queens from around the globe are engaging in many activities including Miss World Talent, International Peace Day and visit to schools and communities these days.

A dress rehearsal was held for upcoming events and all the contestants including Nigeria’s Anna Ebiere Banner got all gussied up.

Nigerian woman Ajibola Obabiyi wins Muslim World Beauty Pageant

21 year old University of Lagos student Obabiyi Aisha Ajibola, beat 19 other beauty hopefuls to emerge Muslimah Queen 2013. Ajibola won the exclusive beauty pageant for Muslim women which took place today Wednesday September 18th in Jakarta, Indonesia. She received 25 million rupiah ($2,200) and trips to Mecca and India as prizes.

Days after an Islamic group staged a protest against the organizers of the 2013 Miss World pageant, demanding that the pageant should not be held in Jakarta as it runs against their culture, the pageant organizers have been forced to move the final of the pageant to Bali - where they said today that it would be 'impossible' to stage the finale there, because of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, where world leaders and thousands of officials are expected to attend. The summit begins at the beginning of October while the pageant is scheduled to take place on September 28.
