It was claimed earlier this week that Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries were close to ending their divorce battle once and for all, but insiders have warned not to count against Kris taking the fight all the way to the court house, as the NBA star reportedly turned down a $10 million settlement to walk away from the divorce battle.
According to RadarOnline, the reality TV star offered her husband of 72 days the staggering amount to drop his annulment case and end the marriage once and for all, but it seems money isn't what the baller is after and he won't be swayed by cash.
“After Kim filed for divorce, she offered Kris a $10 million payoff, with the agreement that he would not continue to pursue an annulment to their marriage on the grounds of fraud,” a source told the website.
“Kris flatly rejected the offer because it has never been about money for him,” the source says.
“He wants to be able to marry in a church again, with a clear conscience, when he finds someone special. Kris is deeply religious and he believes that the only way he can do that is if his marriage to Kim is annulled.”
The insider claims Kris is just as desperate for his marriage to be over as the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, who is pregnant with boyfriend Kanye West's baby, but won't walk away until Kim admits she committed fraud by marrying him.

They went on: “Kris wants to move on with his life just as badly as
Kim does – he is constantly getting heckled by NBA players and fans –
and he just wants to be able to close this disastrous chapter in his
life once and for all. If Kim would just agree to grant him the
annulment, they could both move on with their lives.”A source recently told HollywoodLife that Kris was even more determined to make sure the divorce is carried out to the end with no settlement, now Kim is pregnant.
"They can’t go to court until his basketball season is over, so he tells people that he is in control of her misery," a source said.
"When he found out about the baby, he was bragging to all of his friends that he wasn’t going to ‘allow’ her to be divorced when she had the baby. He intends to tell his attorney when they set a trial date next month that he can’t do it until late summer. It’s all planned and calculated.”
But another insider claimed, Kris is ready to give up the fight after over a year of mud-slinging with camp Kardashian: "Kim and Kris haven’t spoken verbally in a year and Kris can’t stand for her name to be mentioned. He is pushing his lawyers to wrap up the divorce, it’ll be finalised by the end of February or before.”
Hmm, this one seems like it could go one for a while!
