Rafa Benitez has urged his Chelsea side, not to be bothered about fighting Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs for a top four position, but should challenge Manchester City for second position.
The Blues are four points behind City, who lost last weekend to allow United go 15 points clear at the top.
Benitez takes the team to Southampton this weekend and with nine games left this season, he is looking to catch Roberto Mancini’s men.
“I would like to see us reduce the gap,” the Spaniard said. “They (City) will be concerned like we are with Tottenham, Arsenal and Everton.
The former Liverpool manager also confirmed that captain John Terry would be available to face the Saints.
“He has been training and doing well. I am very pleased with him,” Benitez added. “He is training every day and improving his fitness.
“But we’ve got nine games in four days, he can’t play every game. That goes for all the players.”
