Mourinho who watched Mikel break his 261-game goal drought that had lasted since his first spell in charge said the Nigerian international gave his side the needed balance.
“Good for him, good for us. I think it is good for his confidence. And I think people enjoyed seeing John (Obi Mikel) score a goal.'

Keshi invites Nsofor,Emenike, Ameobi, 17 others for Mandela Challenge

RUSSIA-BASED Victor Obinna Nsofor, who last played a competitive game for the Super Eagles in 2011, is among the 20m players listed by Coach Stephen Keshi for Nigeria’s friendly game against South Africa in Durban on August 14.

    The game part of the annual Mandela Challenge in honour of ailing former South African President, Dr. Nelson Mandela, one of the world’s greatest statesmen.

   Also returning to the national team is another Russia-based star, Emmanuel Emenike, whose goals helped Nigeria to win the 2013 CAF Nations Cup in South Africa, and Newcastle United’s Shola Ameobi, who could not be part of the Nations Cup because his club refused to release him for the football fiesta.

Captain Joseph Yobo is again missing in Stephen Keshi's squad for a packed schedule in June while Emmanuel Emenike returns to the side after his injury as well as Kalu Uche.
Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has invited 30 players to prosecute the team's jumbo schedule between the end of May and mid-July, in which about 10 matches loom.
The African champions have a high-profile friendly against CONCACAF champions Mexico in Houston, Texas, USA on the last day of May, before two World Cup qualifying matches in Nairobi and Windhoek that come before the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup tournament in Brazil.
Nigeria play Tahiti, Uruguay and Spain in Brazil but will play two more games if they advance to the knock-out stage, before returning to Africa for a 2014 African Nations Championship qualifying fixture against Cote d'Ivoire.
